Stanhope Kindergarten are excited to announce they have been awarded a Telstra Kids Fund Grant of $1200 for the purchase of a worm farm, garden bed and other related items to involve the children in a sustainable garden at the kindergarten.

The children of Stanhope Kindergarten are high-fiving their grubby hands, celebrating their success.

“This is such a fantastic project to be involved in” said Nominated Supervisor Sarah West. “Messy Play is an important part of childhood development, high concentration levels are needed while engaging in messy play and gardening, the supplies we will purchase thanks to this grant will make a fantastic difference to our kindergarten program.”

Items to be purchased as part of this grant include a worm farm, children’s gardening equipment such as gloves and children’s wheelbarrows, as well as learning resources and books.

Thank you, Telstra, for providing our Kindergarten with this grant so we can purchase some very handy equipment. We enjoy doing outside activities and getting our hands dirty!”

Stanhope Kindergarten wish to thank Telstra Peter Lear for his nomination
