Role: Diploma Educator

Hours: 30 hours per week. Tuesday to Friday.

Start Date: Immediate.

As part of Shine Bright EYM, a leading not-for-profit community-based education provider, the Maiden Gully Early Years Hub (the Hub) was successfully launched in 2021.  We have an amazing group of dedicated educators delivering a first class educational program in our state of the art facility. The Hub operates both sessional kindergarten and a long day care (LDC) programs.

This position will be in the 18 months to 2 year-old room.

The Diploma Educator provides quality education and care to children and supports learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework. In collaboration with the teacher, the Diploma Educator documents the educational program including assessments of each child’s developmental needs, interests, experiences and their participation in the program. As the Diploma Educator you will develop collaborative relationships with families that supports and values families’ expertise and beliefs and allows for families to contribute to decision making about their child’s learning and wellbeing. You will also develop collaborative relationships with colleagues to support the further development of skills and improve practice.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (ACECQA approved)
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Current Victorian Working with Children Check
  • Experience working with children essential.
