Shine Bright EYM Chairman, Mr David Richmond holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Business Law), a Diploma<br /> of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Graduate Diploma (Chartered Accounting).
David is a partner at local accounting firm RSD Chartered Accountants.
David has been working in public practice for the past 22 years, where he works predominately with businesses and the Not for Profit sector as a strategic taxation, accounting and business advisor. David is committed to making a difference in the community by applying his skills for the benefit of volunteer and not for profit organisations within the community. David believes strongly that education will shape the future for our next generations, and a great kindergarten experience will be key to our children’s success in future years. In addition to Shine Bright EYM, David is also a member of the Maiden Gully Primary School Council, and is a director of the Bendigo Business Council.

Pam, who is now retired, joined the Shine Bright EYM Board in 2012 upon returning to Bendigo after spending 12 years in Queensland. Her career spanned 30 years in Local Government and her roles focused on the community, corporate and business areas spending over 20 years with the City of Greater Bendigo. The remainder was spent in Queensland with the Maroochy Council as General Manager Corporate and Community Strategy and Director Lifestyle and Environment with Pine Rivers Council. Pam has always had a passion for the wellbeing of children, beginning as a Mothercraft Nurse. Pam has continued on in the hopes that any contribution she can make to the Shine Bright EYM Board will be reflected in the quality of life for kindergarten children in the region.

Marc hold Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma (Computing) and a Graduate Diploma (Education). Marc currently holds the position of Executive Director- Curriculum, Innovation and Teaching Excellence at Melbourne Polytechnic and also has oversight of two of Victoria’s Tech Schools. He has experience as a teacher and leader in both the primary, secondary and tertiary education context.

Russell Barnier (B.Juris, LL.B, FCIS, FGIA (Life) MAICD) is a commercial lawyer and principal of a legal firm in Bendigo, admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in Melbourne . Russell’s career has included in-house legal counsel in the corporate arena, corporate lawyer and company secretary to a major Australian bank and general counsel and corporate secretary to a major health care network in Melbourne. Russell is also a governance professional and consults to organisations on internal corporate governance issues.
