ENROLMENT: BENDIGO & SWAN HILL

Enrolments for Bendigo and Swan Hill Shine Bright Kindergartens are processed through Central Enrolments at Loddon Mallee Preschool Association (LMPA). Information on how to enrol into a Shine Bright Kindergarten can be found on the LMPA website or contact details below.

Our Philosophy

Children

“Kinder is a place where we look after each other and our resources. We are encouraged to try new things, help others and have fun.”
We believe that children bring with them a diverse range of experiences, knowledge and skills and they need time to actively engage in their world, explore and make connections between prior experiences and new learning. We will encourage children to create, express wonder, have positive relationships, participate in decision making and embrace new challenges. The education that we will provide is based on the knowledge that all children learn through play and must have the pportunity to feel safe, secure and supported as they connect with their learning environment.

FAMILIES

“As a family we value a welcoming environment which is calm, has a variety of equipment and experiences that interest my child and promotes independence and social skills that children require for a successful transition to school”

Families play an essential role in each child’s learning and all families will be provided with opportunities to participate in their child’s learning and share their experiences, culture and values. Families will be encouraged to feel supported and confident to participate to the best of their abilities. All families will be given opportunities to communicate their needs and opinions in a fair and unbiased environment.

EDUCATORS

so we can provide the best learning environment for our children.”

The program will be supported by the educator’s knowledge of each child’s development in conjunction with The Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and an enthusiasm to assist children to achieve their full potential.

COMMUNITY

Our centre is a part of a vibrant and close community and we are committed to building relationships between the community and our education program. We will encourage the children and families to be a part of this community and relevant events and when possible include these in our daily planning. It is our belief that children and families feel a strong sense of belonging and connection when they are a part of a wider community and this facilitates an enthusiasm within the children to connect with others and be active learners.

ENVIRONMENT

We believe that we must all take responsibility for the physical environment that we share. Educators, children and families will be encouraged to respect our resources, have opportunities to create a sustainable environment and be a part of our future planning to ensure that we protect the natural resources that we enjoy and use within the program.
