Trust is the heart of our Kindergarten philosophy. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, secure, valued and confident in the relationships they build with educators, peers and their families.

Within our kindergarten program, we build trust by providing children with opportunities to make choices, express their ideas, take appropriate risk and develop independence at their own pace.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN

Educators  build positive, trusting and responsive relationships with children, recognizing them as capable, confident and curious learners who are active participants in and contributors to their own learning. Educators provide engaging, play-based and hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate, make choices and develop essential skills to support their learning, development and wellbeing. Through fun, interactive and meaningful experiences, educators foster children’s independence, confidence , curiosity and love of learning.

Respect is a fundamental aspect of quality early childhood education and is highly valued by our families. We are committed to building respectful, reciprocal relationships with children and their families, recognizing that strong partnerships are essential to supporting each child’s holistic development, wellbeing and sense of belonging. COMMUNITY

 We believe that a strong connection with our community play’s an important role in supporting our children’s learning, development and sense of belonging. We value a range of community connections such as visits to the local CFA & Schools as well as incursions from our local Police, SES and council. We prioritize making purchases for the kinder from local family-owned business and in turn these business support our kinder through holding fundraising events. These connections provide children with meaningful opportunities to engage with the wider community, develop and understanding of the people and services around them, while seeing themselves as an active and valued member to their community.

NATURE

At our kindergarten, we believe nature is an important part of children’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. Guided by the Shine Bright Ways, we encourage children to explore, wonder and connect with the natural world through play and hands-on experiences. We provide opportunities for children to care for plants, observe living things, explore natural materials and develop a growing respect and responsibility for our environment. Through these experiences, children are encouraged to be curious, confident and caring learners who shine brightly in their connection with nature.

FUN

At our kindergarten, we believe that children learn best when they are having fun, feeling happy and enjoying a strong sense of belonging. We create joyful and engaging experiences where children can laugh, play, explore, imagine and learn alongside others. We value children’s interests and encourage educators to bring enthusiasm, creativity and playfulness into each day, making kindergarten a place where every child feels excited to learn, grow and shine.
