Hello Everyone,
As you may have heard last night, new state wide restrictions came into effect at midnight last night including the following:
“Masks will be mandatory in public indoor spaces….Masks must be worn indoor public spaces apart from when eating or drinking.” (DHHS website) As a result, staff need to wear masks indoors. The previous DET advice remains that educators can choose not to wear a mask when actually teaching or providing care to children; otherwise staff need to wear a mask including in office areas or the like. Children under 12 years of age are not required to wear masks.
All our work places should now be using the QR code system for entry into kindergartens and the Wills Street office. All staff need to use this system. Please note that the data collected is held by the Victoria Government for 28 days before being deleted. The use of the QR code system is only for potential COVID-19 contact tracing and does not replace other attendance recording requirements.
