Meet Belinda Quinn
Hello… My name is Belinda Quinn.
I will be working at Maiden Gully Early Years Hub as the new Hub Manager.
With 11 years of experience in Early Year Education, I believe it is the foundation of our path to lifelong learning. It is the period of greatest brain development; when we begin to learn about who we are, how the world works and our place within our community. Early Childhood is a time of great curiosity and creativity and I love learning alongside, with and from the children.
I feel that it is an honor and a privilege to work alongside children and their families to create the best outcomes for all people involved. I also love working in Early Childhood because it provides me with many opportunities to create meaningful relationships with the other educators that I share space with. Together we are working on making a difference in the lives of children and families, and I believe that we are raising our own awareness to become the best versions of ourselves, that our chosen profession requires. I believe that I am incredible lucky to live and work in Early Education in a state that values Early Learning for the incredible value that quality early learning services add to our community and our society.
I am excited about the opportunity to create and enact change and to see the growth of our professionalism and shared learning that is presented by the creation of the Early Years Hub at Maiden Gully. It has been a lifelong goal of mine to work with young children and I have displayed great commitment to work from becoming a certificate III qualified educator, then studying both my diploma and Early Childhood Teacher qualification whilst raising my three young children. I feel however, that this experience has provided me with a great understanding of the many stakeholders in the early years environment, as a parent and also as an educator who has worked at the different levels of qualification. I have a genuine love for helping and teaching people and I feel that my role as the Hub Manager of the Early Years Hub will provide me with many opportunities to connect with a wide array of people in the Early Years service through the provision of quality education and childcare. Also, having Allied Health Practitioners on site to provide ‘wraparound’ services with an early intervention approach.
