We’re excited to announce that Swan Hill North Kindergarten is one of 113 schools and youth organisations to receive a 2020 Victorian Junior Landcare and Biodiversity Grant!
We’re using our $1581 grant for our Bush Tucker Garden Project. Shine Bright Swan Hill North Kindergarten will create a Bush Tucker garden, providing an immersive activity, planned to continue on for future years through the planting, growing and consuming of native Bush Tucker. It is hoped the Bush Tucker program will continue to build and strengthen the service to the local community.
The Victorian Government is funding these grants to provide young Victorians in schools, groups and communities an opportunity to participate in outdoor, hands-on, on-ground projects, and environmental learning activities that provide both environmental and educational outcomes, as well as health and social benefits.
