LMPA (soon to be Shine Bright) was thrilled yesterday 28th February 2018 to gather key stakeholders to launch the Maiden Gully Early Years Education and Childcare Centre.
The building project which is scheduled to start in the second half of the year will see an Early Years Community Hub built on the Westbury Estate between Bendigo and Maiden Gully. Focusing on primarily education and childcare the Centre will also partner with Bendigo Community Health, Department of Education and Training and The City of Greater Bendigo to provide family support services for children in the zero to 5 years age bracket.
The centre will also be involved in an early year’s research partnership with La Trobe University and facilitate unique training opportunities in partnership with Bendigo Tafe.
After her participation on the Family Communication Development Parliamentary Committee, Maree Edwards is keen to see how the Maiden Gully Early Years Education and Childcare Centre evolves as a multi-faceted model in support of kindergarten children and their families.
