Dear Shine Bright Kindergarten Families,
We hope that you are all coping with the current lockdown restrictions.
Winter started this week and it’s the time of year we start to experience more sniffles, coughs and colds. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff, we seek your cooperation by following the latest advice.
The Department of Education and Training (DET) has provided an updated guide for parents on what to do if your child is sick – please click here
We ask parents to pay particular attention to the following:
- Children should not attend a service if they have any COVID symptoms such as fever, chills or sweats, a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, a runny nose or a loss of sense of smell or taste;
- Children who display signs of COVID should be tested and stay at home until a negative result is confirmed and the child is completely well again;
- If your child is deemed a close contact, has visited an identified exposure site or has a positive COVID test, please advise us immediately and ensure you follow advice from the Department of Health
- If your child is unwell during the day, we will contact you and ask you to please collect them straight away
We all need to continue to work together to ensure that our kindergartens remain a safe place for your child, the other children and our dedicated staff.
We will continue to provide updates to families as information is received. Thank you again for your continued support in these changing times.
We hope that you are taking care and staying safe.
Yours Sincerely,
Belinda Schultz Early Years Manager
