At Kunawaa Kinder we’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit, by decorating our room and windows. Over a few weeks, the children have all helped to paint egg cartons to make a Christmas tree, then decorated it with tinsel and made their own glittery paper stars to hang on it.

The children also made pretty hanging baubles by painting wooden shapes then making them extra special by stringing shiny metallic beads onto them, and used a variety of collage materials to decorate lovely paper Christmas trees to hang on the walls.

The children practised their fine-motor skills by making beautiful stained glass windows.  They cut around outlines of Christmas trees, bells and stars and filled the middle with cellophane pieces stuck onto contact. We then we put them on the windows for the light to shine through and show off their lovely colours.
