Shamrock Park recently commissioned local artist – Betty McKay to paint a gratitude tree / family tree. Betty is the older sister of one of the children in the 4yo group. The children enjoyed watching her do the painting.
Last week the kindergarten had circle time and staff asked all the children what they are thankful for. Educators wrote their comments on apple shaped paper, (the children asked for apple paper when staff talked about what they were going to do the week before) and put them on the tree. This will change around each month.
