Now in its 17th year, the much loved Shine Bright Annual Conference will be held on Friday 13 March in Swan Hill at the Grain Shed.
The event was established to provide staff with an opportunity to connect, grow professional knowledge, grow sector knowledge, share best practice and leverage the strengths between Shine Bright services.
The theme for the 2026 conference is “Practice is
Embedded – The Journey to Exceeding.”
With seven Shine Bright services meeting the “Exceeding” National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas, we are keen that their experiences are shared across our five regions and 44 services.
Inspired by the colour and texture of a child’s artwork, the Shine Bright 2026 annual conference will be themed by Brooke, from Echuca East. She has named her artwork “Rainbow”.

The keynote speaker for the event is Jane Wundersitz, who will be talking about growth mindset and optimism. The early childhood sector is ever evolving because of societal shifts, government policy, compliance obligations, and emerging research that shapes both pedagogy and practise. Jane will talk about how we remain positive in the face of change and continue to grow as professionals who feel enthused and positive about what we do.
The event program also includes a Best Practice Showcase from our services with feature presentations on: Making School Readiness Funding Visible; Transitions; Child Voice; Child Safety; Accessibility to Early Learning.
Our panel discussion will include exploration of: team teaching; dual leadership roles; managing programs for combined age groups.
